The Labor Rights CRN invites you on a two-hour walking tour of the Spadina area of Toronto, led by Prof. Craig Herron.

For visitors and tourists, Spadina Avenue is a lively, colourful street. Yet, for generations of working people, it has simply been a place to make a better life. Its neighbourhoods provided housing for thousands of newcomers to Canada. Many found jobs in its factories. And, on street corners and in shops and restaurants, churches and synagogues, and meeting halls, working people reached out to each other to build communities.

The walking tour will begin promptly at 9:00 am. Participants are advised to gather at 8:45am in the Sheraton Lobby to begin the tour. The walking terrain is mild, and the tour will take place regardless of the weather conditions that day. Participants are advised to wear comfortable shoes.

Price: $10 USD (pre-paid with registration).
