Registration for the 2022 Global Meeting on Law & Society is now open!
As a reminder, the conference will take place both in-person in Lisbon, Portugal, and virtually from July 13-16. The conference will be held at ISCTE University Institute of Lisbon with organizational support from DINÂMIA’CET and CIES at ISCTE. It will be the 7th Global conference, which is held approximately every 5 years. This year’s theme is Rage, Reckoning & Remedy. The conference is organized in partnership between LSA and other sociolegal associations around the world. Registration Details
For the 2022 meeting, participants attending in-person will purchase registration using a three-tiered system, with the price being determined by the income economy of the current country you reside in (based off data from WorldBank.org). In order to register, you will need to be logged into your LSA profile. There will be further registration instructions listed on the registration page of the website. The rates for each tier are listed above and on the Timeline & Registration page for the Global Conference. There are no member dicounts for 2022, since it is a Global Conference hosted by several organizations. In-person registration will also grant access to the virtual sessions and platform as well. Anyone who will be physically attending the conference in Lisbon will need to purchase an in-person registration option, even if your presentation takes place virtually. Students attending in-person will not need to select a tier based off of their country of residency. Students attending the conference in-person can select any of the in-person options for registration. Students who are either “Students” or “Student Non-Members” in our system will automatically see the student price populate for them when they are logged into their LSA account. If you are a student, but your member type is currently set as “Non-Member,” “Regular,” or “Special International,” please email lsa@lawandsociety.org, and someone will assist you to help you receive the student price.
All scholars who will only be participating in the Global Meeting virtually and not traveling to Lisbon should purchase a Virtual Conference registration. You will have the chance to select this option during the registration process. The tier sytem does not apply to virtual conference registration.
Regardless of whether you will be attending in-person or virtually, all presenting participants must register for the conference by February 15.
