The Law and Society Association welcomes its new President Elect, Laura Beth Nielsen, Secretary, Eve Darian-Smith, and the Class of 2023 Board of Trustees, as the association announced the results of its 2020 elections on Tuesday. Every two years, LSA members vote for a new President and Secretary, while trustees are elected annually to serve three-year terms.
Two LSA members were named 2020 MacArthur Fellows, as announced by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation this afternoon. Thomas W. Mitchell of Texas A&M University’s School of Law and Forrest Stuart of Stanford University’s School of Humanities and Sciences each earned the honor.
